The Nap. Our luxury cedar cabin. It’s a place of calm.
No neighbours, no road access, no TV, just comfort and serenity.
Floods of light, merry birdsong and Nigel the buzzard, circling overhead.
Below, the Taw Valley and beyond Exmoor rising to the horizon.

The brilliant thing about this place, is whilst up there, you are feel like you are the only people in the world, and yet down below, there is the plethora of what North Devon and beyond has to offer.
On your doorstep
The best surf beaches, (Putsborough, really is wonderful), quiet coves and bays far from the maddening crowd: the Tarka Trail, the longest traffic free cycle route in the UK; Exmoor and Dartmoor on your doorstep. Marvellous boozers and gastro dinning pubs, The Grove Inn is only 10minutes away. From the cabin we have a series of walking routes, through wooded combes, gentle streams and untouched farmland . Down on the Taw, you can wild swim and go hot air ballooning www.flyawayballooning.com direct from our land.
The farm is part of the experience. We have rare breed cattle, sheep and pigs, they live a gentle existence, it's so hilly up here there isn't any intensive farming, precious little pesticides, so the birds are in abundance, the hedgerows alive.
It's not bad, really...we like it!

Treat the terrace like a stage, look down on the valley, put on a good tune and its hard not to dance. No inhibitions up here.
SOME KIND WORDS...
My partner & me stayed at The Nap for 4 nights in November.
It was absolutely amazing & would 100% book again!
The cabin was perfect. The location had amazing views for miles of the countryside with the bonus of a woodfired hot tub!
Also, as The Nap is located on a farm ( although very secluded & private ), you can buy produce from the lovely owners, which was a lovely added touch.
Beautiful place, perfect for taking a break and enjoying nature, even in winter, the fire keeps you lovely and warm. We also tried some of the steaks that were great quality.
Myself and 3 friends plus 2 little dogs stayed at The Nap for 3 nights and we didn’t want to leave. To put it simply - it was one of, if not the best place I’ve ever stayed in the UK. The stunning views, tranquil setting, super clean & well kept house with everything you need, toasty hot tub, comfortable beds, cosy log burner…I could go on and on. It was all the little touches that made it - the twinkly fairy lights, Bose sound system, wine & fresh eggs on arrival and the lovely Adam showing us around the farm animals - thank you for such a lovely, good-for-the-soul weekend.
Beautiful secluded spot to escape from it all. No TV, or distractions. Nice big hot tub. Attentive hosts who respected privacy. The accommodation was very clean and they made the most of the space available. Dog loved having the roam of the field to himself! Totally recommend this as relaxing get-away.
True escapism. We loved every minute of staying here. Its so special to be surrounded by nature and our 2 year old loved it!
Awesome. Relaxing and comfortable. A real treat. Thank you. Oh and the steaks were fantastic, we did them on the fire and they were superb.
Serene, beautiful space - gorgeous bed, slept long and deep - thank you for all the little kind touches
Very relaxing, stunning views, peaceful and very comfortable. Loved the hot tub and the bi-fold doors are a great feature.
Really lovely. We left feeling so relaxed. So relaxed. Our son and dog loved being able to play in the huge, secure outside space. The Nap was so cosy, it was perfect for our little break away.
It completely allows you to close a door on the hustle and bustle of day to day life…you will not want to leave
Really fun, cosy and relaxing. Such a beautiful place, we loved everything but especially the hot tub and fire pit. And the Grove Inn. Thanks for a brilliant stay
A perfectly relaxing break. Being able to see so much sky and countryside was such a treat. Even our three year old seemed to relax and slow down!
Beautiful! Such a wonderful place that is so peaceful. Lovely to be able to bring the dog too. We actually got engaged yesterday evening here, so it will always be a special place for us. We will be back.
The Nap is an amazing space, everything in it is carefully thought out and high quality. Despite the horrendous weather , we had a fabulous stay. Thank you.
A fantastic cabin overlooking beautiful countryside. Super relaxing - a week of games and exploring the area (highly recommend War Horse Farm @ Iddesleigh) Adam, Becky and Milo made us very welcome - really enjoyed getting a look round the farm. A lovely week, we’d recommend and hope to be back!
It was a perfect stay at Adams cabin! Beautiful and quiet surroundings and a perfectly equipped cabin. We loved the minimalistic and clever design of the cabin, which was built by Adam himself. He was so helpful and ever so nice. He introduced us his cows and the sheeps were our neighbours for two days. The kids and we loved it! Thank you so much! We will recommend it to our friends for sure.

Perfection - beautiful cabin in an incredible setting. We don’t want to leave and already can’t wait t come back. The Nap is good for your soul and we loved every minute. Thank you.
We had the most amazing time at The Nap. It was a perfect place to unwind for a weekend. Adam welcomed us and was on hand all weekend if we needed him but also gave us privacy to spend time as a family. The children made friends with dogs, cows and chickens and were able to roam free around the cabin and explore. The location is stunning with beautiful views and lots of things to do in the area. We came for a weekend but it felt much longer as it was so relaxing. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. The Nap is a beautiful place to be and we will definitely be back!

Thank you for building such an amazing property. It is just perfect in every way. We loved everything about it. It's simple but makes you stop, breathe and think - just what we needed. We discovered our love for the sound of music again. Rather than putting the TV on! You have created something everyone should have the pleasure of experiencing. Thank you. We will be back.
Clive, Georgia and Jarvis.
Fantastic stay at the nap. The cabin was brilliant set up and lovely and cosy despite it being a cold weekend! The views from it were just amazing! Adam was a brilliant host. We would definitely come back!
